generalpurpose: the MRU is optimized for a general application (recommended). dp: the MRU is optimized for a vessel using a dynamic positioning (DP) system. In DP mode, surge and sway measurements are found using the estimated peak heave period in the MRU’s high pass filter. This is to attenuate the very low frequency DP motion from the surge and sway measurements. |
