Time synchronization

There are three different ways to time synchronize your MRU:

  • Host PC time (default): Use the internal clock of your host PC.

  • NTP server: Use NTP server to synchronize the MRU.

    • serverlist: List of NTP servers. In the case of multiple servers, the NTP service selects the most accurate time source.

  • PPS signal: Use PPS signal to synchronize the MRU. You can configure the following:

    • PPS polarity: Polarity of the PPS signal.

      • Falling edge: Select the falling edge to be the start of the second.

      • Rising edge: Select the rising edge to be the start of the second.

    • Offset: Number of millisecond you want to add to the ZDA message if there is a miss alignment problem.

    • Precision: Number of decimal digit used for precision.

Follow these steps to configure time synchronization:

  • If you want to use Host PC time, keep default value.

  • If you want to use NTP, change Synhronizaton method to “NTP server“.

    • The service status can be refreshed by pressing the “Refresh” button.

      • During the refresh process, the reachability of the NTP servers is verified. Note that the reachability of the NTP servers can only be verified if the MRU is connected to the host PC through Ethernet and has a functioning Internet connection.

    • The NTP server list can be modified by adding new NTP servers or deleting the existing ones from the list.

    • Click “Save
