Junction box mechanical interface
Junction Box 2.0 features a plug-and-play design with simple interfacing. Junction Box 3.1, on the other hand, offers a more advanced and flexible interface, with additional support for analog outputs. This page provides an overview of the mechanical interfaces of both variants.
Junction box 2.0
Design
The MRU Marine can be delivered with a junction box 2.0. The junction box can be mounted to a surface using 4 x M4 machine screws in the mounting holes. The outer dimensions of junction box 2.0 are 174.0 x 63.2 x 45.0 mm.

Junction box 3.1
Design and materials
The junction box 3.1 casing is RS PRO Black Glass Fibre Reinforced Polyester with water-resistant enclosure rating (IP66) and certification for explosive atmosphere safety (ATEX, IECE). It comes with 2 x Haz area plastic IP68 cable gland, M25. These can be used with both Norwegian Subsea Marine and subsea cables. The junction box 3.1 outer dimensions are 220 x 120 x 90 mm. The junction box can be mounted using 4 x M6 screws. The footprint for the drilling pattern is 204 mm x 82 mm.
